The Mountain Within

As I stand upon the mountain ridge and gaze at the colossal vigor of my earthly home, A soft breeze whispers in my ear.

 I created all this and more for you, to please your heart, to give you a greater understanding of who I am; I AM, that I AM, and I have chosen to set my temple within you. You will seek me with all your heart because that is your desire, that is your yearning.

“Create in me a clean heart, oh God and renew a right Spirit within me….” I cried out.

 I granted your desire and came to live within you; now you need no longer seek me, we are together as one. I in you and you in me.

I gazed up to the great clouds as they moved swiftly across the cobalt blue sky, intent upon a destination unknown to me; yet they know their direction and boldly follow their invisible path.

I looked down into the valley, the grassy green of the mountainside, sloping into the sleepy river far below. As my soul is stilled, I hear it, yes, I hear the mountains softly singing to me in the gentle breeze. The trees are swaying this way and that.

You shall go out with Joy and walk in My peace; the mountains and hills will burst forth into song as they honor you and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.

How majestic are the ways of I AM, the one true, almighty, all present and all-knowing God – the one who fills my heart, fills my soul. We are, the two of us, as one, within one another, intimately and eternally bound.

I do not speak unless I hear I Am’s words to me; I do not act, unless I see I Am showing me how.

Because you believe you are in me and I in you the words you say will be my words.

The cattle graze in the grasses, unconcerned by my presence. They do not know I AM, but they obey I AM’s instruction, silently without thought nor word.

I am one, the mountain without and the Mountain within.
