Eckhart Tolle – The Power of Now Journal

Enlightenment is something I have progressively experienced along my life’s journey. For me it has never been a one-time occurrence as I have experienced enlightenment on many, many different occasions.

My first experience with enlightenment was in 1980. When I had a ‘born-again’ experience. Through being born again. I came to know God personally for the first time and became liberated from a 28-year religious system.

In early. 2000. I became enlightened once more after reading a little book, ‘As a Man Thinketh,’ written by a new thought author, James Allen, in 1903.

In 2003 I started reading Eckhart Tolle. and experienced further enlightenment. I now, with some excitement, am waiting for my next round of this life-giving experience. I am a firm believer in the scripture. ‘Seek and ye shall find.’

In 1949, I was given a Bible. Inscribed in which were the words, ‘To Peter – Sunday School, Brenthurst, 1949.’ I do not recall the event as I was only seven years old at the time. Looking back now that I am 81, I recognize that I was chosen, if you will, to be a seeker. It could be that as a child I was seeking someone for consolation. My Nana taught me to pray, and this is how the prayer went: ‘Gentle Jesus, meek and mild, help this little child’ I was going through some traumatic experiences at the time. I prayed that little prayer every night in bed. After some months my prayer was answered in a most miraculous way. I’m sure my parents loved me; my grandmother loved me. But there was someone else who loved me before I was born. Someone who is always with me. Someone I call ‘Supercoach.’

Thoughts never control my life. Supercoach guides me all day every day and enlightenment in many different forms, is my most regular visitor.
