Urge or Stress?

An older man popped in to chat to his doctor about a problem he was experiencing with his water works.
“Do you think its urge or stress related?” Doctor asked.
The older man raised his eyebrows in question.
“Does it happen when you have an urge you can’t control or when you physically exert yourself ?” The doctor continued patiently.
The man thought for a minute, “When I’m typing madly on my keyboard and I have an urge to visit the bathroom, I cross my legs and hope it will go away. When I realize it’s not going away, I rush to the bathroom and then it becomes stress! I learned this from childhood and I can’t seem to break the habit.”
When you have an urge to undertake some important task, do it right away, or at the very least, jot it down on your ‘To-Do’ list. This discipline always pays in the long term – and sometimes in the short term too.
Putting tasks off until another time creates stress and can have detrimental effects – completing tasks promptly leaves you stress-free and accomplished.
