Corn Stalk

What Goes Around

At some time or other, we have all heard or read the above proverb, ‘What goes around comes around.’

I have no idea of the exact origins of the proverb. But it could have had some link to the ancient scriptures because these allude to the fact that what you sow, you will reap, and surely, this is common sense to all of us. If I plant carrot seeds, I don’t expect to harvest apples, do I now?

Included in the sowing and reaping principle, we have a graphic view of how the universe functions. Consider the theory of relativity, for example which says, in simple terms, what goes up must come down. None of us would argue the toss on this one, would we? Have doubts? – go outside, pick up a pebble, and throw it into the air. (Mind where you stand while trying this, or wear a hard hat.)

So then, in a nutshell, however we conduct ourselves in this life, will eventuate in a return to us. Beneficial or damaging, and this is what we might call causal effect.

But this is not all. There is such a thing as a numerical effect as well. For example, if I plant a single corn pip, it will grow into a stalk, which could bear two cobs. If healthy and fat, these two cobs can produce as many as two thousand pips! It makes you think, do you agree?

If you plant a bramble seed, get ready to be surrounded by bramble jungle in a few years, or if you are looking for rapid results, try planting bamboo.

Lesson: Mind how you plant the seeds of your life and never allow the clouds of doubt rob you of profitable sowing.
