Can You Write a Complete Story in Six Words?
Legend has it that in a smoky bar in the 1920’s Ernest Hemingway’s colleagues bet him that he couldn’t write a complete story in six words. To cut a long story short, he did, (No pun intended) and he believed the resulting short story to be his best work. What he wrote was:
“For Sale: Baby shoes, never worn.”
So, why don’t you join me and let’s see what we can come up with shall we?
Here’s my effort:
In Fullness of Time All Ends
Just One Look Her Decision Made
The Sun Rises But Never Sleeps
A Windy Day With Skirts Flying
Which Way Please Does It Matter
This Long Story Now Made Short
Climbed a High Mountain I’m Piqued
Gunshot Bodyguard Dead A Protector Lost
Her Freedom Ended At The Altar
Drunken Steps Blamed On Moon Shine
