What is My Purpose in This Life

I wonder if the most asked question by people is: ‘What is my purpose in life?’ My philosophy is this: I came into this world naked and without luggage. After a short stay (comparatively speaking, it is fleeting – even as I live to 120), I will leave naked with no luggage.
Any wealth I have accumulated will be left to others. Any fame I have achieved will soon be forgotten. But the oak trees I planted, under whose covering I never sat, will crowd into a shade for others; their branches will clap hands with joy in the high winds. Their souls will be my soul; Aye, they will remember me.
But far better than this will be those I have loved as I have loved myself. Those whom I have nurtured with my everlasting doctrine of love. All those I set eyes upon, with the love I give myself.
Sharing love is the only purpose I have in my life. So, everyone is important to me because I have no purpose in this life without them.
But there’s more…
I do not confuse purpose with living – never. My living is working, earning, and spending my earnings on the material things I need and want, enjoying my life, and having fun. Guess what? I can undoubtedly achieve the one without sacrificing the other.
Isn’t this wonderful?
