Eckhart Tolle – The Power of Now Journal.

I love this quote of ETs; it’s so human. And like all his philosophy (In my opinion,) it is true.

It is interesting that last night. I watched a TV documentary on the secret success of the honeybee.

This documentary affirms ET’s quote above. But my favorite quote is Proverbs 6: 6-8 CEV.

“If you lazy people could learn by watching an ant-hill. Ants don’t have leaders, but they store up food during the harvest season.”[1]

The country I was born and raised in was known for its large ant hills. The ant hill in the back of our garden was nearly the height of the roof of our house and very wide in circumference. Long before our family arrived, someone innovatively cast a concrete slab on the top of the ant hill, creating an observation deck. From a very young age, I was insatiably curious. So, one day, I took a pick and began breaking open the hard crust below the concrete slab. I was amazed at what I discovered. I gained a full 3D view of the life of a termite community inside the hill.

That was 74 years ago now, and climbing back into an 8-year-old mind is a little hazy, but thanks to Google, we can travel any time to take a peak.

Whether I look at the lives of ants or bees, I see a state of absolute orderliness and community cohesion. Each individual in these communities surrenders to the whole, obediently performing their allotted task with complete focus on what they are doing, without discussion or question. Each one just being (their authentic self) and supporting their fellows.

As ET suggests, ‘Watch any plant or animal…’ and you will see the perfect state of behavior that the universe is showing us as an example of how human lifestyle should be. Maybe there will come a day on Earth when such a lifestyle will be the norm, and the world will finally be at peace. ET is saying that the closer we nurture our lives to surrender to the moment, the sooner we will be our authentic selves. Peace will then enter and remain in our lives.
